Why We Celebrate Good Friday | History Of Good Friday

Today is a very important day for everyone but especially for Christians. As all over the world, Christians are celebrating the auspicious festival, Good Friday.
The reason behind celebrating Good Friday also known as Holy Friday, Black Friday, Great Friday is that, Jesus who was betrayed by one of his followers was forcibly arrested, untruly accused and unjustly sentenced to death. But, Jesus was back to life from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Some Christians celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday.
Therefore on Good Friday we celebrate the putting to death of an innocent man who was betrayed by his friends and sent to his death on false charges.
But, you must be thinking what is good about this Good Friday? The answer is that Good Friday is good because it is the result of the good news that the angels brought to the shepherds on first Christmas morning of God sending his saviour to save us from inhumanity and Jesus accomplished the work of salvation by dying on the cross for us.
